LED lighting for 120gal. FOWLR recommendation?

I am debating on purchasing a LED unit for a 120gal. FOWLR. I currently have Compact Flour. but am looking for something with less maintenance, heat, cost, energy bills compared to MH. I have seen alot of units and wattage like 1-3 watts. Any recommendations would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

If you're definitely keeping this as a FOWLR tank, you really don't need high power LEDs. You might be able to get away with a couple of these - Ecoxotic Stunner strips.

The problem I see with this is that (it states add to existing unit which I am trying to replace) and for the price for a 12" I would need a lot and the price will equal a a full LED unit.

Dude you are doing just fish..MH would be retarded and so would T5 or LED. All you need is standard vho fresh water aquarium lighting. Single or double bulb and call it a day. Why would you go spending hundreds of dollars to light fish lol. If you don't have corals there is no reason for it.

I have PCs now and its fine but I like the slimmer LED units and dislike the heat the PCs give, I love the white and blue colors. especially the color of the fish look nicer. The energy costs are lower and no heat.

You can get pair of Evolutons for $630. Then there are people selling used chinese branded 120w modules for $250 all the time on RC.
Ecoxotic strips won't do it, you would need about 6+ at $99 a piece.
