Harvesting cheto ?

Ok just wanted to know weather I should be harvesting my cheato if I'm still trying to lower my po4 I added a flood light to my sump and the cheato finally started to grow like crazy I even added 2 clumps behind my rock wall in my sump! I have a dino issue that never fully went away but it only grows in the display not in the sump so I was wondering if I should put more cheto in the display would that help ?

sounds like the excess of nutrients/bio load is more the problem. finding ways to reduce them may be a better route.

I know excess nutrients r the issue finally got my po4 down to 0 (with test kit i know its not actually 0 ) with use of a ton of gfo
Really wanna know when u guys harvest cheto and how much ?

I harvest only when it gets dense to the point where the lower growth is hindered due to lack of light from all the new chaeto growing above it

Thanks Ming at that point how much do u rip out I've read a few ppl remove half then let it grow back ?
