My chiller is puttin in over time today had to rely on my good ol window ac to cool down cause central air isn't working will have to get that checked out totally sucks tank is at a steady 82 without chiller and without lights for now the other with chiller is fine and mh kicking

AC pumping and have a fan over the sump, tank is at a nice 80.2 F, tonight it'll probably drop to 79 which I can deal with.

If I could afford a chiller, then that would be on top of my list of random things I want/need. Tank has been 86 for week now

This weathers a piece of cake I have my server fan running on my tank and the temp is @79 no ups or downs so now I know I can run the whole summer without issues or need of a chiller ! Thank god for server fans

i personally wouldnt go without a chiller, my tank never reached over 78 degree's thanks to it, house is hot as crap but my fish are happy

I have the chiller set to 80F. I only turn on the A/C when I'm home and the chiller doesn't have to work as hard then.

Well first thing this morning I got up and hosed down my central air unit cleaned it up and seems to be workin now must have been clogged up house is easeing up to a steady 70 degrees making everyone happy

MY PHONE WAS OFF LAST NIGHT AND I TURNED IT ON AT 9AM AND APEX WAS SENDING ALARMS LIKE CRAZY( TANK WAS AT 85DEG!!!) SO I RAN TO OFFICE TO FIND POWER WENT OUT LAST NIGHT. I GOT THERE ASAP AND POWER WAS RESTORED BUT THE ONE PUMP WAS DEAD AND THE ONE PUMP THAT FEEDS THE CHILLER(F@#k)!!!!
THANK GOD FOR A SPARE!!!!! WELL I GOT REAL LUCY AND LOST NOTHING. WAS DOWN FOR ABOUT 13HRS



HOW MANY PEOPLE LOST CORAL B/C OF THIS WEATHER??
I FEEL BAD FOR THOSE WITH NO CHILLERS AND A/C!!

well its a sad day due to the extreme hot weather yesturday i lost a FISH:dead1: MY CATALINA GOBY SINCE MY CENTRAL AIR WENT OUT MY TANK PARAMS GOT TO HOT FOR THE LIL GUY HERES HOW I FOUND HIM PIC CURTESEY OF JOHNATHAN :thanks:

Nothing in my tanks die from the weather so far including the side effects of power disturbance. However, I have 2 pepper trees dead from the extreme heat. Saved couple other big leave plants of my neighbors. Absolutely do not want to step away from the AC.

sorry jr973, it does suck to lose a fish, very supprised that the shrimp made it before the goby!!
