I never had this problem with previous systems, but I see none in my tank, not even on the glass. What could be the cause?
system has been running 1.5 years

some parameters:
400w MH bulbs 8 hr period
4vho atinic bulbs 12 hr period
orp =430 to 450mv
mg = 1300 to 1400
sg = 1.026

You need 0-15 nitrate level, calcium over 400, alk 6 and up, magnesium 1200 and up, previous Coraline algae in the tank to start the growth. Then Coraline algae will take over

Same here. Other tank always had more than I wanted all over the glass. I move to an Aquapod and seeded it with plenty from old tank and no coraline for 2 years. I have had a small patch of green but that disintigrated.

Are your power heads pointed toward your glass?

Well on 2 out of 6 are, but both point to the center of the tank. at 6ft long I don't see that being the sole cause of the coraline on the glass. I can scrap it all off and in 2 weeks its nearly 60% covered. I even get growth on the back wall of the tank where no powerheads are directly pointed.

I just want some nice pink/purple rocks not glass :goldfish2

My tank has been running for 1.5 years, I have 750 +- pounds of live rock that use to be covered in coraline alge in my old system. This rock is currently in my sump that receives no light. I just find it odd that it has not migrated to my grow out tank. My grow out tank has some frags and colonies that I have been growing, and some will go into my display tank in the near future, The live rock will be going into the display tank as well when the set up is finished.
