Hey anyone who is planning on doing some DIY in the future, Canal Plastics, the big plastics store on Canal street is closing down this Friday and they currently have all their stock 50% off.
I just bought 6' of 6"diameter pipe to make a couple of skimmers and it was only $30!!!!
If only I had more money on me.....

get yourself some 1/4" acrylic sheet

Get yourself some 6" or larger diamter tubing forthe skimmer

get some 3.5" OD tubing and 4.5" OD diamter tubing for the riser neck

For the reactor you can go with anythign from 3.5 - 6" tubing.

If they have cast tubing go for it if not get the extruded

I must say there wasnt a whole lot of big diameter tube left.
And I couldnt find any 1/4 sheet in black.
If you go down there John i'd be into getting a foot of 4.5" OD clear tube.

I'm back. This is what I got,
these prices are before the 50% sale
6' 2.25" clear tube 2.70/ft
6' 4" clear tube 7.40/ft
6' 3.25 clear tube 5.95/ft
6' 7.5" clear tube 48.00/ft

-wedfr, the only 5" tube they had was solid orange, there was a whole lot of that left-
out of this I need to make a calcium reactor, and two skimmers, one for myself, and one for solbby.
what ever is left I'll sell at the sale price.
this was about as much as I could carry, and what I could afford.
it was 208.00 for everything.
There was plenty of large tubes left, up to 12", they are not cheap, even with the 50%, they even had some large 1/4" walled tubes I can only imagine how much they may be. I did not ask but they may be marking down as the days go by. they have to be totaly out by friday, so whatever's left is going in the trash I'm sure. maybe for the bigger stuff we could make a deal with them? I'd be willing to go back and get more, but people would need to paypal the money to me.
Also if someone wanted to drive over I could go with them. there's no were to park during the day, so it would help to have one person sit in the car on a side street. let me know guys, there are still a whole bunch of tubes left, and it did not look like any one was interested in them except me.

I know, that tube would be sweet, maybe if you go in with cash that would help, that 1/4" wall stuff is insane. Let me know, I can go with you tomorrow, Friday I may not be here, but that might be the day to go. The big diameter tube's are up high and no one may notice them, please, no one notice them, pm if you want to meet up. I live pretty close to the store.

House, there was not much 1/4" left, just full sheets they would not cut, I could not carry those, sorry. they were $75./sheet, not bad. if someone has a truck friday could be the day you go and clean up, you could get enough acrylic for the next few years of DIY projects for everyone on MR. who has a truck?
