Whats up!

New to the site, but not reefing. Got sucked into the hobby almost 3 years ago. I've had a few tanks. Picos, aios, custom acrylic, frag, ect,... I've only got one tank right now, it's a 24x24x20 rimless starfire cube, drilled w/ overflow box & black back. It's been cycling for about 6 weeks. I'm pretty sure it's ready for stocking, but a majority of the rock is diy so I want to get some more growth going first. Got an 18g sump, but I have some left over acrylic from previous projects so i'm thinking of making a new one. Maybe even a section for top off, thatd be neat. Lighting is a 4 bulb t5 fixture w/ individual reflectors. I'll eventually go back to leds when it fits the budget. I actually live in southern cali, but wanted to join a "local" reefing site not local to me. Just wanted to see if anythings different as far as what people collect, prices, ect,. It's kinda neat living over here. I'm about half hour south of CurrentUSA. They actually got the names Cardiff & Solona from two beach areas over here, theres a fun fact for ya. Well heres a couple of my tanks, the last one is the most current. Thanks for reading and happy reefing!

I opened up the rkl and drilled a hole in the back & the stand for a flush look. Also snapped off the plastic tabs on the rkl.

That frag tank looks like it would have been sick set up!

I agree, it's nice to see random people join from farther away to hear how they do things, price difference, ect. Hope you enjoy the site. Great local reef forum that many many people are addicted to. Hope you hang out for awhile...
