Filter socks?

My filter socks are overflowing overnight. Water parameters are all good, and just replace old socks with new thinking that was the problem and again overnight the new socks overflowed. Any ideas?

What micron bags are u using? If u are using 100 micron bags, they will catch alot of detrius and clog up fast. If u are using 200 micron bags and it's clogging up then u deffintly have alot of detrius being filtered out which would be a good thing. You should see that after filtering out the system , the bags will last longer.

I learned that the hard way on my first tank years ago. There foam floating on the top of the tank. Must have been soap or something left in the socks from the manufacturer. I have run them through the wash ever since.
They are 100 micron socks. But I have never had them clog up this fast before, usually 3 or 4 days. Bio-load hasn't changed and I was actually trying to feed less.
