Still contemplating my next lighting set up so I'm buying a couple par bulbs for the time being. Heres what I decided got
12 1 Watt Leds
6 455nm Blues
6 16,000k Whites
Independently control/dim whites & blues
My main reason for going with this specific bulb is the functionality. I like the fact I can switch colors using just a bulb, especially for the cost which was $65 shipped. I don't see myself using the dimming function much, as the leds are only 1 watt as it is. The optics are 30 degrees (ouch!) but the bulb is user friendly so you can pull off the face plate if you want to sacrifice par for spread. I only have 4 frags in my tank @ the moment so 30 deg optics will suffice for now. It really Controls are via remote that seems to be temperamental at times. You have to be less than 2 feet away for the remote to work. It's tough to grasp the actual brightness w/ a phone but heres a short vid.
