Jbj nano setups

does anybody want to share how they are running the JBJ tank? I'm just curious on what protien skimmer, fliter, etc are running in your tanks.

I have 24gal dx,StevieT media rack in chamber 1, chamber 2 tunze 9002 skimmer, and chamber number 3...rio 1600 return pump I believe. Also ordered a lighting upgrade from nanotuners.com. growing sps in there using only power compacts

Google it, he makes plexiglass media racks, which force water through your choice of media. It has three shelves, on the top I use filter floss which I change every other day, second and 3rd shelve I use carbon, or purigen, or chemi pure elite. He also makes the collection cup you will need for the tunze skimmer to work. The tunze 9002 is maybe one of two skimmers that will fit in a 24 gal nano. As we all know most skimmers come with round collection cup...he makes a square one so it fits inside the chamber

i had a 12g jbj stock everything (info in the sig) nothing in the back chambers except for heater and return pump =) ran fine took it down to upgrade to a 24g and doing the same thing in the chambers. keep it simple and keep up with water changes =)

So what do you use to replace a foam/sponge?

When u buy that rack....on the top shelf you buy a 5 dollar bag of poly fiber filter floss...its really cheap basic stuff...and change it every other day

jbj 28, open top, with 150watt mh, eshopps hob skimmer, tlf reactor with bio pellets, changed the stock pumps to 2 mj 1200, have two hydor k1 running now, until I replace the wet side for my mp10, and auto top off from autotopoff.com. no media rack, don't really do much water changes....really nice tank...will be upgrading to aqua illumination sol blue soon, hopefully in the winter...
