Drilling rocks and adding support beam...

So, I want to redue most of my tank, or at least my rock set up. I'm thinking of going with 2 pillars. If I were to take a long drill bit and make holes going through the rock so I can put a support beam to hold it up, what do you recommend using for the support beam, and what are some tips and tricks to make sure it's very stable?

Make sure you use a masonry bit. Larger heavier rocks (that are stable) should be used for the base of the structure. I use a 3/4" bit and you can either use nylon or acrylic rods.
