To me this is very sad, and somewhat surprising. Tunze's initial response was to acknowledge their error and commit to fixing it, which impressed me very much. In this video they make numerous statements that range from questionable to flat-out wrong in, what seems to be, an attempt to discredit and spin the results that demonstrated their previous errors, and in so doing declare by fiat that the one parameter in which their pumps and Ecotech's pumps differ markedly is the most (or at least a very) important factor.
Simply put, either they don't understand what is meant by the terms "flow" and "turbulence" (I think this the most likely), or they are being purposefully deceptive (I think this less likely). Turbulence is a PATTERN of waterflow, not an alternative. Flow can be either laminar or turbulent at a particular scale (e.g., meters vs. centimeters vs. millimeters). Saying one pump creates more flow and another more turbulence makes as much sense as saying something is either a tree OR a pine. A pine is one type of tree, and turbulent flow is one kind of flow.
