(oh and i couldnt help but notice the conversation went off on the cheap vs quality tangent that keeps coming up between both retailers and consumers alike :L )

I live in queens, but I think the best store I have been to on Long Island is Country Critters. In fact it might be the best store that I have been to period.

they can be slightly pricer then other places, but they have a fantastick selection, with lots of fish and inverts. Their fish and tanks generally, always look healthy. And perhaps most astonishing of all, their salespeople really are knowledgable. Unlike some other store i was in, in nassau this weekend where I saw the salesperson reccomend a cannister filter (I walked out in disgust)

Mutts and butts is okay.. nothing out of the ordinary just your normal selection with an average price tag for it
