Clownfish Species' Differing Personalities Observed

contemplating which clown species are most suitable for a small community fowlr.

heard/remember such things like:
that maroons take over and bully, even kill the whole tank, even bigger non-anemonefish
true percula can live harmoniously in group while fals percs (occis) 2 might not even get along
tomatoes r da ones that seem the least 'stranded' without a host
clarkis are the most 'active' or 'entertaining' to watch

of course all such things may be highly subjective, but can anyone add to them?

also, what is a "naked" clown???

NY Aquaria has a pair of "naked" clowns.

yeah. i was sayin pink skunk clowns r kinda "naked" lookin and somewhat without personality, it seems (?)

i actually like pink skunks, everytime i see them in the store they always hosting a anemone. And :backtotop my pair of false percs nevered liked me adding a 3rd one to the group, so maybe they like to be a pair

I had a pair of Maroons, the female was a bully. Highly agressive and prone to fanning the sand bed with her tail, causing sand storms. The male was beautifull, a nice red color (The female gets very dark). Unfortunatly only came out of the rock work to eat. They did not have a host.

before that I had a pair of Ocelliris (sp?). I found them more willing to host in a non anenome, They liked a euphylia (hammer coral). And I found them to be more active and out in the open. (maybe because they had a host?)

anyways yeah, i remember ocellaris being less "missing" of a host.... and them always hosting anchor, frogspawn, torch corals... i hope for that not to happen in my tank. its a dilemma cause if i get anemones then i have to worry about them wandering and getting liquified in the powerheads, killing other stuff if they get sick/die, but this time around i do want a pair of clowns complete with anemone and also would love to see them spawn since im so used to breeding fw stuff but have never touched upon anything sw ever breeding for me.

does anyone like clarki's or sebaes? how do they behave in your tank? i like their yellow color.

yeah parta me dont wanna deal with dat anemone soup surprise drama again, but other wants to hav clown pr with true host not a bothered coral. wanna see them "feeding" their anemone and all that. do anemones need alot of light and current? if they don't need a hole lot of current maybe i can work out like a separate tank with a power filter instead of powerheads or something. i was even thinking of recylcing an UG filter i have and sticking a powerhead as thats they only way i can be certain no stupid anemone will do the unexpected and unprobable again. cause even a a hang on filter its possible for them to get into right?

tony hows your tank coming along? did the fish survive the transfer? if its not new rock and you moved it fast it might not need to cycle again, right?
