Hey all I just got a coral beauty angelfish 2 days ago it's about 3 inches and is very active and seems to be grazing on my live rock all day long. The second day though I noticed white spots alover it's body could that be the ich from the stress it came from travel ? What can I do ? I tried feeding it a few things and even put algae sheets on a piece of rock with a rubber band it glances at everything but doesn't nibble at it yet. Any help appreciated thanks.

well you already introduced it to your tank which means your tank now has ich.so either tear apart the tank to get all your fish out and treat with copper or hope all your fish are strong enough to handle the ich.you can introduce garlic into the food and hope for the best which is what i did when i had ich and i worked.but that was just me..

I had to get rid of my QT due to space constraints. I have 3 other fish for over a year now never saw 1 sign of ich on them. Water parameters are fine cept for nitrates which I'm trying to control they are 40+ right now. And yes probably ich is introduced to the tank but considering I feed all my fish the highest possible quality food known to man to them one can only hope they can make it through some ich.

um a small amount of micro bubbles do escape my HOB skimmer yes but the spots def. looked like ich to me though still I know the ich is still in the tank now but I can hope for the best and feed them well hopefully it will start accepting the prepared foods this week.

well the ich is completely gone from the fish now but it's been about 5 days now and it has not accepted any of the foods I've offered it aka pellets, flakes and dried algae it just nibbles on the rocks it almost however ate a formula 2 flake o_O

anyone can recommend what kind of food I can offer this fish that will entice it to accept the dried foods ?

Try soaking in Kent garlic extreme. 5 days is a long time. Sad to say. He might not make it. Did u see it eat at lfs. Always ask to see the fish eat before purchase. Not sure if beauty's eat algae. But if it does try fresh live algae/seaweed. I had an issue with a blonde Naso. Til I fed it fresh macroalgae. Now it eats everything. GL
