Durso Standpipe Issue

Got a Deep blue 75g rr with corner overflow. I fixed the flow issue with an eheim 1262 return pump (had a 1250 wasnt enough). Then the overflow area water would come up and down. Fixed that by drilling cap hole little bigger till that stopped. Now the drain line is flex hose and below the water line submerged. Im getting alot of gurgling noise. Will a filter sock help with the noise any suggestions? Thanks

Worked for me. I have a similar set up. I put a sock in now the only noise I have is from my ehiem.

i drilled small maybe 1/4" holes in my drain line that the filter sock covered, helped me tremendously.
