protein skimmer not working

i did a water change today , i turn my Protein skimer back on, realized its not working . wt heck , should i buy a new pump or have to buy a new protein skimmer , and if i do need a new one , what kind should i get? i have a 120 gallon

No working meaning the pump is not pumping? It might just be the calcium build up on the ceramic shaft causing it to seize up when the pump cools off when you unplug it during water change.

When is the last time you cleaned the pump? Do you hear the pump trying to start when you plug it in?
