Mag 18 Vs Mag 24

Is there a big difference in these 2 pumps? I mean after 3.5 headloss and 3 90 degree elbows the difference is only around 200 gph. Another thing why is the power consumption for a mag 18 only 145 w yet for a mag24 its 265 w more than 100 more watts? Does this make sense or is it just me?

I felt thte same way when I bought my PanWorld

The 1100 gph pump was 140 w and the 1750 was 245
