i have a piece of rock, its not cured , how do u cure it ?. its been sitting there in the sun and rain for a month . i do want it back in my tank , i have 100lb LR right now in my display 100g tank . the tank is 2 years old . everything looks good in my tank now,and water is good, help me plz

Fill the bucket from your next water change and add a small rock from the tank to seed. You'll only need a small powerhead to keep the water moving, unless temps are very cold don't worry about a heater. After 4 weeks, test for the usual NH3, NO2, NO3 and PO4, the phosphates may be very high so you may want to run phosban for a week before adding to the tank.

Oh and if you can keep the bucket covered and outside/shed/garage as the first few weeks it may smell unpleasant.

Fill 3 buckets of tank water (during WC) and start dunking it and shaking everything you can out of it. Keep doing this until the rock stops giving off crap and turning the water black.

Then put it in your tank. You have a big enough tank that it will be fine. Just run fresh GFO when you do it.

qy7400's way works also, and is the 'better safe than sorry' method. But mine will work just the same - IMO - and is faster. Up to you.
