i had this scooter blenny for a couple of months now... hes been fine for a while, recently i noticed hes been getting skinnier fast. i haven't seen him eating much lately, not even the brine shrimp. what other options do i have? hes been slowing down (a lot less movement) almost like hes on his way out. any quick solutions?

Are you feeding it brine shrimp everyday? Have you tryed feeding it pellets or flakes?

Mine eat every thing mices shrimp, flakes, pellets brine shrimp and pods. Try to switch it up may be bord of th same food.

+1 try feed it different food everyday for example

Mon: Flakes
Tues: Pellets
Wed: Mysis

Then repeat the cycle over again. Im telling to this cause its working for me and i hope it works for you. I gotta thank RARECLOWNS from here for the feeding help.

Scooter's are not really blennies, they are dragonettes. They require an established tank with a huge amount of pods that will replenish themselves over a short period of time. Some can be trained to eat frozen and prepared foods.

Many LFS sell live pods, especially the one by reef nutrition. But the problem is that your fish will probably devour all of them before they are able to sette in your tank. A nice technique I used when I had my 2 gallon pico was that I used old water from the tank put it into a clear 1 gallon bottle, added some algae and a bottle of tiggerpods and placed it near the window. If there is no one to eat them, they reproduce pretty fast.

try cyclopeeze. if things are really grim you might try buying a bottle of those live trigger pods, but that will get really expensive really quickly. also, maybe try the bottled stuff from reef nutrition or whatever they are called. the one that looks like a blended creamsicle might work.
