LED grow lights?

I'm growing nanochloropsus (phytoplankton) and the light source is a home depot shop light. On ebay, I saw a blue red 225 led grow light panel 14w. I wonder if this can replace the cheap home depot shop light. The reason is because of the heat and the cost to run the other lights. Does any one think that this light will grow the phytoplankton or is it a waste of money. I know phtyo will grow under just about any type of lighting, but I just want to know if this would work! Thanks for all your help.

from what i read these lights are geared towards the spectrum for plant growth

DO NOT USE THOSE PANELS! They burn out quickly. The circuit consists of only resistors not constant current driver that demanding LEDs require.

Use par LED bulbs, as far as I know ALL brands of PAR LED use constant current drivers

most of the cheap leds u see on ebay or online elsewhere are junk..you get what you pay for when it comes to technology stuff.
