I have a yellow scrol that is depleting in two different areas should I cut the dead parts off or will that do more harm than good?
I also picked up an orange sponge like coral looks like a little tree and must be fed it does not live off lite alone. Can I mount this with glue to a rock? Sorry for the bad info I forget the name.
Since adding a thirty gallon fuge and a bubble magus na9 to my 90 gallon reef my zoos have not opened is this a case of ( water being to clean) I've heard that before. My nitrates are close to zero with an elos test kit before the additions my nitrates ran between 2and 5.
Thanks

You are correct on the orange coral but can I mount it to a rock using frag glue? You mean don't cut the scrol? My alk is 11 mag is 1400 cal is 440 my no3 is maybe 1 my phos is 0. It's a 90 gallon reef mostly lps 30 gal fuge 20 gal sump acan LEDs . The biggest problem I have is stability I can't seem to figure out how to do that. I 2 part dose with brightwell any advice you can give me would be great thanks

you can def mount gogornia with most fragging epoxy. I believe reefkeeping.com has an article about it. Can you also give us information on your ph, ammonia, and nitrate levels and how old your tank is. How old is your tank, my tank has very "clean" water to, but my zoas are ussually open.

stability of what though. Normally a sign of a mature tank is that its parameters are stable, if you check the parameters of your tank twice a week and dose accordingly, you should be fine. But I think we just found out why that coral has been receding.

I only really use reactors for carbon and phosphate. I use to use a calcium reactor to, but there were times when it would give me ph swings over night that i didn't appreciate. There are other types of dosing machines out there though. But what parameters are unstable exactly.
