I want to securely glue rock together. I did a search through MR and the threads I saw about putty was to attach frags to live rock.

I had to break down my live rock because I had to catch a fish. But as I was breaking apart my rockwork, I realized that it was very very unstable.

So this time I want to glue everything together.

Therefore, I need a glue that is strong because I have small to large rocks that I use for my aquascape.

I've heard of Loctite and apparently they don't sell Aquamend anymore.

I think I've read somewhere that putty can affect skimmers? Can anyone confirm on this?

So yeah, I prefer putty that I can get from lowes/homedepot since those are cheaper than aquarium made ones like twolittlefishies.

Any suggestions?

R.I.P. old rockwork =\ I was so happy with it too.

Here is the info on waterweld. http://jbweld.net/products/water.php
Works great.

I guess since it says it can be used for potable water... its reef safe too?

thank you for the info, ill go check it out next time I go to HD/lowes

@ Johanna, yeah that's what I've heard too, and I plan to use a lot so my skimmer is going to be overflowing with skim I assume. But why does this happen?

I dont remember which brand i used but any aquascaping putty works well and i dont recall my skimmer going nuts. However if thats the case i woukd rather my skimmer go crazy then to use a product that may not be safe.
