Sump/fuge set up

I want to make a new sump/fuge for my new 120 in the making soon. Anyone with some good diagrams, scatches? Much appriciated in advance.

need a little more info. is the tank reef ready, if so what are the drain dimensions, what kind of skimmer, will you be running an external or internal pump??
what kind of stand and how much room do you have?

The tank is reef ready. Reef octopus internal skimmer. All pumps in sump. I will be able to put a footorint of a tank 36x20 with no problem under the display tank. Maybe a 65 gal tank

that would be a perfect size. the only thing is that they are not easy to find. what is the footprint of that skimmer?

I actually saw a 40 breeder for only $25. The maker is deep blue proffesional. Ever heard of them.

i heard of deep blue they are famous for their rimless tanks, cheap but good

cheap as in price, i have a couple of friends that own them and are happy, they just had problems with their bulkheads (very cheaply made, but the company replaced free of charge)

Thats good news, thanks for sharing...at that price I might pick up 2 of them. Put one in storage. Hey, you never know maybe I set the 2nd one up as a frag tank later on.

Price adjustment. Actually it is $36 not $25. Still a great price. I will be picking them up this weekend. Can't wait.

a 65g isnt going to give you anymore water volume then a 40g, seeing baffles will still be the same height

+1, just looked at both dimensions, and they are very close, with the exception of height.

The baffles will be restricted by the operating level of the sump.
A 65 will probably not give you any more volume for that reason also.

Good luck as I am also planning an upgrade to a 120 also.
