Some Hair Algae

barely any hair algae, but i don't want it to spread, what should i do?

Check your parameters (with Salifert test kits if possible), something might be off. Phosphate should be tested with a Hanna pocket or low range tester, as others test kits are just not that accurate.
Also, where's the temperature at and what's your light cycle like ?

temp is 79 - 81
everything tested fine
and i have T5's that run 11 hours a day

How long haven't you replaced the bulbs ?

How many bulbs, what type of fixture, and what brand/type of test kits are you using for your nitrates+phosphates ?

'barely any' as in small patches? If so try covering it with a clamshell or something for a couple of days.

Use your hands and a stiff brush, preferably out of the tank.
