Hi there. Would like to learn more about reefing. :lol2:

I would also like to take this chance to thank MR member Wingoagency for saving my tank.

At the same time, I also have to complaint about him for introducing me to this reefing thingie, since then I have spent a lot more than I expected!

Me too. I'm finding it so much more expensive than freshwater, than I ever imagined, too. I have seen alot of people selling their whole reef tank on Craiglist "getting out of the hobby" so I hope its not something to overwhelm most people eventually.

How did he save your tank?

Welcome Sweet. It's all good some people don't know what it takes before they set up a system so when the do they realize it's more work than they bargained for.

Welcome to MR!

Good to hear your tank is doing well. be prepared to go broke! deep pockets are a must for this hobby. As people start posting corals really cheap.. you will start buying more and more...

Hey, you are finally here. Now you can ask them the SW questions. Don't bother me!!!!:joke: :joke:

BTW, my memory card is still in your camera. I need the party pic. Email me instead of PM. It' always full.

Chief,
I just rid his FW tank of ick without killing the bio filter, that's all. All you experts know how to do that. It's nothing special.

welcome to MR, and when the savings and cc are maxxed thats what loans are for

OMG Has anyone ever taken out a loan especially for reefkeeping? I heard of Car loans, Home loans, does this count as Home Improvement? I didnt realize it but some people have told me it cost around $5,000 - $10,000 for a decent size and stocked tank. I know if you are rich that's barely anything at all but,
One could buy a car or put the down on a house with that lump of $$$.

Two thumbs up!

I have the same problem with Waterplant. Got a good deal to start with later found out that it's so addictive. Probably due to our inexperience in reefing, we spent so much time on it trying to get better results and eventually end up buying some new EQ. I bought some PC light and soon to find out that PC light may not be enough for SPS. I did not even know there is something call skimmer in the old days. I bought that because everyone here say it's good which I agree after using it. Then one day, the weather was so hot that my tank is like 84 F because I have the big motor of the skimmer in the tank, then I realize I need a chiller. I wonder what would be next. I should ask my bank to get a home improvement loan for the tank!:fishhit:

You must have some psychic power. What makes you assume I will go for diy computer fans. I ordered 2 multimeters but they send me 2 computuer fans instead this morning!!! Returning them for exchange cost more than the products so, I guess, I'll take your advise and use them to cool my water.:tongue1:
