i'm confused. am i still getting the ones i asked for @ the swap? are these extra ones your getting rid of?

These are extra's. You're still good, as is everybody else that wanted them. I've never done an ebay auction before and I wanted to try it. Figured these mushrooms were better than doing a more expensive frag like sps.

Brett, I would never do something like that. It has never even dawned on me to scam like that. If it had crossed my mind before, my rating and experience with ebay would have started a looooong time ago. I can't sleep with myself knowing that I did something underhanded. Not worth it to me.

Russ, I always put things up with a $.99 opening bid (even if it's $1000 microphone) You don't pay as high a fee then.

In this case, how much would you really sell them for? What's the lowest price? Then you either need to set a reserve, or have a friend put in a bid for just below it. If someone else is bidding, the'll spend the extra $.50 to get it. You get the sale, and the price you want!

Starting @ .99 will save you on listing fees alone. Ebay still gets the percentage on the total cost the item sold for.

 on the second comment...
eBayers definitely do that.
But if your "friend" ends up winning, you loose out on listing fees & the percentage of the sale.

Some sellers have a second account & bid on their own auctions...

Bad, Bad, bad:irked:

Awwww.....Russ.
You're such a nice guy:lol:

You know, I'm either a total dummy to the ways of the world or just one ignorant ignoramus. A second account? Jeeeez, never would have thought of that. I think I need to stay away from ebay. :fishhit: OR, wise up.

those are actually nice mushrooms...how much for them at the swap if i don't win??

if you have any more available

I do have more available. The red/blue ones are $8/polyp. The purple/blue/pink ones are $15/polyp.

I just don't know how many I'll have yet. There is a thread for them in the vendor forum.

Now back on topic. I can't hijack my own thread!

Ebay is a world on its own ,I sell and buy stuff as well
Live corals is a biatch.
You need to have a good feedback ,and stay on for a while till ppl know you,Then you have guys with stores ,they key words for thier store keywords- When you type a word in the search box such as LIVE CORAL/S ppl with keywords on their auction get ed 1st.as for Reg auction you are not in the publics eye as much.
Now as for ppl bumpimng up pricing ,that is a given ,as for me ,i dont have that prob all my stuff is Buy it Now .but what kill the sales are shiping cost .you can sell that coral for $15 bux and shipping is 3 x as much
but i have to save very nice work on wording and designing .

Ronen, thanks for the guidance and the thumbs up. I just noticed I got another bid, woohooooo. It's at least fun watching this thing. Provides some entertainment. The problem is I don't leave the computer now! As if I did before? lol
