the mod 2 looks like it's blowing that clownfish up against the opposite wall. No doubt these things put out some flow. I understand that you can't use a controller on these, but does anyone think there will be a problem if we shut this thing down at night?

If you're looking for something that you can "dim" or put on a controller then a Tunze is the only way to go. However, if you'd like to try some "Tunze like flow" out with an old Maxi Jet and it only cost you $16, then this is for you.
I'm not saying I want to slow it down. I'm saying set it up on a regular timer to shut it off at night.
Steve, honestly, I really don't need this thing. A tunze or a modified maxi-jet. I just find it interesting and wouldn't mind playing with it. I don't think the one you posted is the same as the one Fritz posted from RC.

Those Tunzes are cool and everything, but if I'm going to spend that kind of money, I'd buy the Vortech. Since I don't need it, it's just a proejct to try out.

Can I get in on the modfest? I live nearby as well and I was planning on ordering the rods and props. Spykes if you've got plenty of carbon rod to volunteer(?) I guess we can just put a prop order together with ronen.
