i got a question for ya nine9d, you are a new member and i welcome ya but you have any plans to donate to the site for an auction... i see that your trying to make a killing on frags but didnt see ur name in the donate to the auction thread...

the only reason why i said that is cause most of the family here are offering sps frags to the fellow reefers here for $20.00 and they are really nice frags... Frag swap not Retail store swap....

Tony, while I agree with your loyality to MR and really understand where your coming from (I think the same way), I still think that anyone who attends the fragswap can sell/charge whatever they like for corals which they want to sell.

nine9d is a fellow reefer, he is selling hard to get corals which deserve a mark up in price. So lets try and not hyjack his thread, he does have a right to sell whatever he wants at whatever price he wants to sell them at. It is for the buyer to chose whether they want to purchase the coral or not.

I feel like I have to defend myself for some reason here. I don't come here to post often so I just found out about that auction thread last night, sorry (plus, I still haven't read it) :smash:

I don't think I am making a killing on frags, especially since I was looking for trades. I already made 2 trades within an hour. Whoo Hoo! Now if it was all about money I wouldn't even entertain trading. The price on the frags is what I feel they are valued at in the hobby trade, not in the retail market. Online shops have them for much more, I did check around and don't want to point out any vendor in particular. But being a hobbyist like you, I would rather trade, but it never hurts to try to make a few dollars to pay for this expensive hobby.

Just so you know, I do belong to another reef club and I donate very generously. But than again, all reefers are like family to me. As I said in my first post, "I hope everything seems reasonable." That was as far as prices were concerned. Either way, no hard feelings bud, I do understand where you are coming from too. But we all once were the new guy on the block.
