Help w 32g brute capacity marking

Can someone tell me where on a 32gallon brute can the 32g or 30g mark is?

32 gal would be the can up to the brim.....go get yourself a milk carton and siphon 2 gallons out...and mark it

I have in the past calculated a bucket volume by hand. I took a smaller bucket (marked with 2 and 1 gal markings). Then i filled a 5 gallon bucket and then used that to fill the other container counting the buckets. Then using the smaller bucket to get to the smaller gallon calculations. Then you mark the container so you know where 30 gallons actually is! I did this so I can figure exactly how much salt I need to add to get the right salinity..

Are you sure about this, or just assuming....

I know it sounds like a dumb question to ask, but I'm pretty sure the capacities of the brutes are actually higher than stated on the label

Looks like I was wrong and the capacity is spot on to the brim at a touch over 32.

I can't tell you the exact gallonage but if you are measuing to mix salt - this may help..

on a 32g Brute can - the 10 gallon mark is 18 1/2" down from the very top edge of the can.
the 20g mark is 5/34" down from the top edge of the can.

I have a 7g bucket - with proper gallon markings that was used in the food industry, and that is what I used to come uo with these measurments.

Update : I read you link (interesting!), wanted to note that my measurments do take the shape of the can and all of the indentations into account
