Overdriving 24 watt T5s???

I have heard from maroon you can overdrive 2 24 watt t5's using a icecap ballset and I would get about 105 watts from Each t5 bulb! Thats incredible! That means I would only need 2 t5 bulbs for my 75 gal! Is there a decrease in the bulb life? Can anyone guide me as to what I will need and how much this setup will cost ? Should I just go with tek's of would it be better to buy 2 of those retrofit current usa t5's and run them on icecaps?

when you overdrive any bulb or any lamps you shorten the life of the bulb

you wont overdrive the 24W bulbs to 105W i dont even thinnk you get that out of the 48 w bulbs i think you get 84-87W out of the bigger ones. You might want to check with icecap. they have a forum on RC
