Remora Nano skimmer or Tunze 9002 skimmer

There is still a debate in my friends 28 gal nanocube built. He would like a SPS tank. Should he go with the Tunze 9002 without the media basket and just drop/hang the media in another chamber or go with the Remora Nano hang-on and use the media baskets. With this he can use a part of the basket for a small fuge besides the m. Which one would you guys prefer
