What to feed your fish???

Does anyone know why a lot of people say that feeding your fish any vegetable matter is bad for your fish? I try to read a lot before I buy a fish on how to take care and what to feed. some books say to give lettuce, broccoli, and other vegetables. I have a fox face, and some tangs, that love the romaine lettuce. I also provide a lot of dried seaweed and mys sis shrimp. any input on this would be greatly appreciated...:eat:

I feed seaweed (nori) amongst a bunch of other marine foods. I don't believe in feeding lettuce, and such because they are not natural foods for fish. Lettuce, broccoli, and such do not grow in the ocean.

some things in this hobby dont have to be complicated.feeding is one of them.

Generally speaking, I mostly feed my salt water fish Nori, but sometimes I would also give them some zucchini and romaine lettuce. Zucchini is a wonderful supplement for people who keep freshwater tanks. This is especially true for those of us who keeps exotic plecos.
