I used to own the AIMS program and it had a feature that let you plug in the various structures that were visible on the coral and it gave you a list of possible species according to the features you plugged in. It was pretty expensive and someone ended up stealing my copy even though it was locked to my email but it was incredibly helpful in identifying corals if you weren't sure of the species. If you are anal about identification these resources are invaluable.

I agree, the structure is quite beautiful. I was really referring to the colors,
