I was looking at my tank and wondered why the lights didnt come on?? :shocked:

I don't change the times on my timers. I figure an hour of difference doesn't make a big difference to me and I'm sure the fish don't care! :sleepy:

I use about a 1/2 dozen or so Intermatic Digital Timers. They have a button on them labeled, "DS". Stands for Daylight Savings and it automatically adjusts the time for you.

I know a lot of reefers use this same timer, so that's the easy way to reset your timing.

All it is, is a button on the timer that adjusts automatically for daylight savings time. Keeps the lights coming on at the same actual time, regardless of DST.

While you guys lost an hour of sleep I got out of work 1 hour earlier.
It makes up for itself cause in the fall when you get an extra hour of sleep I get to work an extra hour for free but LOL I made out

Yes, it's the Intermatic Digital Timer. I get them from HD for $19.99. I've got about 6 of them running now. I will say I had a problem with one of them about a year ago. I brought it back to HD, they gave me another one and off I went. It was the only issue I've had.

Are there better ones? Not sure. These have worked satisfactorily for me. Some people might be into the manual ones, one less thing to possibly fail.
