an 0.5 PO4 reading means that the rest of your parameters are not good, especially with a subpar test kit. See if you can get someone with a hanna meter/checker to test your water for you. Water quality aside, I don't think that the stock lighting out be enough for a bta.

Thanxx I test all my parameters every 3 days and do 20% water changes every week.
There all in check but my phospahtes.
I'll have my friend at the Lfs test it out

If the BTA craps it has the potential to affect your parameters in a drastic way. Is that your biggest concern?
If you feed it meaty food without any waste then you should be fine.
I feed mine scallop meat and havent seen them crap at all.

BTA's are cool. I had one with two clowns but it eventually moved and got caught on the power head. Had pieces of it everywhere... But it lived and then it moved again towards the powerhead. This time it turned inside out and started melting... looked crazy. Had to remove it before it killed everything else.

Just make sure you cover your power head with something so that if it moves it does get caught. Otherwise, it can hurt everything in it.
