just moved and need a new ro system for the house drinking water. can i use a fish system for drinking water or is it more economical to buy two separate systems. can anyone recomend a good drinking water ro, especially one that has easy to find catridges and memebranes and not the expensive propertery ones. i have the di part but was forced to leave my ro system behind at the old house.

I have 2 from water general manufacturing, which I think also goes by Filter Direct. One has a tank for drinking water. They both work well. Tap TDS ~40; RO 2-4; RO/DI 0. One system should be fine. I only got the ssecond one because NY wife got annoyed that i had buckets in the kitchen all the time. You can find them online or on eBay. They use standard filters.
Hope this helps.
