New refugium?

Hello fellow reefers I am going to add a refugium to my system and wanted to add live sand to it. I gather I should rinse the new sand out but when I put it in the refugium will I have any spikes that I should be aware of ? Is the a better way to add the sand?

If your tank has been running y waist the $ and put live sand. I did mine with reg sand and rinsed it every well. And my refugium is doing great..

Well I have two bags of live sand sitting here doing nothing so I was gonna use a bag. Lol I just don't want to mess up any parameters to bad.
