brown jelly disease

i have a tree coral that is still opening up nicely except a few heads sometimes dont open but they will open the next day? weird i know. but today i realized some of them had this brown stringy stuff wrapping around the branches but the polyps were still extended. this was in the morning its now almost time for my lights to shut off and it seems most of it has blown off the coral. should i be taking this coral out? or give it a few days and see if it comes back. i dont want it to spread to my other corals just in case it is in fact brown jelly.

It's not brown jelly disease, which doesn't happen to tree corals anyway. What's happening is common with all tree or leather coral, it's shedding and will be fine in a couple of days.

by any chance does anyone know or maybe you marrone where i can get a plastic mesh screen to attach to my egg crate so my algae doesn't dump into my return section from my refugium blowing algae into my dt?

Home Depot or lowes go to the window department, and get the fiberglass window screening. But if you already have egg crate in place I don't understand how your algae keeps getting in to your return section.

Craft stores like Michaels or AC Moore carry a nice sized mesh in their needlepoint departments in various sizes. It is stiff enough to bend it to where you want it to fit.

i dont know just to be safe lol. guess i dont really need it but i also have some algea growing in my return section is this normal to happen? should i be worried and try to block that section off from the light
