liquid nails will not work..its fiberboard if it get wet again it will just rip the fibers out again.you need to get clamps that will swallow the whole stand probably 4 clamps..then you need to go on the inside pre drill the fiberboard and put in plastic holders for the scrws you will be using to hold in you 4x4s.thats the only way to do it.or you can follow the same steps and try to use metal brackets

I agree with you James! The problem is that these MDF stands do NOT have 4X4s. I really believe that the best thing to do is to first of all NEVER EVER purchase an MDF stand, and if you have; once it gets wet, and begins to swell the best thing to do is to replace it.:splitspin

I had that same stand on my old setup. When I discovered that same split u have I couldn't sleep thinking of the damage that would cause if it where to collapse. I reinforced it with 2x4's and metal L brackets. Then I quickly started to find a replacement stand (solid wood).
