esv sand

was wondering how is the esv sand. i have 50 lbs of it but not sure if i should use it to start my new reef . or should i go with reg live sand.

definitely do some research...I believe there were quite a few people that were unhappy with it, and removed it from their tanks.

i used esv fine white sand in the past. very small and just like sugar. but eventually it turns shades of brown and green due to algae and detritus. I would use it again but i would just use a mix of course grade and fine grade because it really blows around

can it be mixed with live sand

yes it could. but there would be a noticeable difference in color ESV is super white when it is brand new compared to other sands.
