will anemones sting each other? i want to do just a tank full of them but want to get diff colors too will thay start a war in my tank?:grouphug:

No they'll not sting each other. I have 5 diffrent bta's in one rock.

BTAs won't sting each other, but if you start mixing different species of anemones you're going to run into compatibility issues.

I have 8 different kinds and no problem but they keep growing and splitting,,,

When I had my anemone tank I kept several different ones. But my tank was a 120 gallon 6 footer. Plenty of room for them all to choose a spot. I had carpets, haitian, bta, and a couple others that I don't remember their names.

in a 29, you'll definitely want to keep them the same species. BTAs are a good bet.

Check out the Maxi Minis as well. They're really coming in with amazing colors lately, and are pretty easy to keep.

hey J, whats going on, I started with one RBTA in a biocube 14. it was never my intention to have more than one but the crazy thing kept splitting. At last count the tank had three. Sadly though the power to the tank went out while on vacation and I lost all in that tank.

Be careful with Bubbletips, you are ok to mix them but if they are collected from a different area then where other ones you have are from they may wage warefare.

I have had tanks filled with RBTA clones and i saw a nice green bubbletip, bought it, put in the tank and saw it wither away. The clones could have been all female and the the one i put in a female. They didnt like it and green slowly withered away.

if you wanna fill a tank with BTAS, do it with all clones from others that have split. Dont try to introduce a wild caught specimin. They also can carry infections that can take out all of your anemones.
