Anyone have a Vertex skimmer

My vertex in 180 is a beast .It skims like crazy ,full skimmate in 3 days.But the one thing that gets me is after a feeding of cyclopeeze and mysis it stops skimming for and im not kidding 5 hours.I feed at 730 pm and i doesnt start to skim again till 1215 to 1230 am..I know people said there skimmers stop skimming but for a 1/2 hour at the most.Has this happened to any other vertex owners?

I found my Vertex 180 to be very inconsistant as far as maintaining a good foam. Little things make it stop skimming. Then when I increase the foam a bit, all appears well until it started skimming like crazy.

I learned to adjust it once and leave it alone when I was using it. I currently use a ATI 250 which is much more consistant in my opinion. I'm waiting for the new ATI Powercone 250 if it's ever released.
