THE STANDARD OCEANIC STAND FOR A 120, IS 49 x 25 x 32 BUT I NEED HELP DETERMINING WHAT IS THE BIGGEST SUMP I CAN SQUEEZE IN THERE WITHOUT HAVE TO INSERT THE SUMP THROUGH THE BACK. I CAN REMOVE THE DOORS BUT I AM NOT SURE IF I CAN FIT A 48 INCH SUMP INTO THE TANK. ANY FEEDBACK IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

I DONT REALLY LIKE THE TRIGGER-SYSTEMS SUMP SO I WANT TO MAKE A DYI SUMP

I HAVE BAD SPACIAL VISION!

i have a cabinet right next to the tank and that is were all my equipment is, i was just wondering if i could fit a 75 gallon into the stand or would it not squeeze through.

I want to have to have a nice big sump with a lot of extra water to the system.

The sump i have in mind which i don't know how to design yet would have one return pump for each over flow. So at both ends of the sump have a return and in the middle have the water from the overflows going into the sump and also have the protein skimmer and Refuge in the middle as well

even with a 48" wide tank this design would not work well, you would need to have 2 nice size chambers, as well as 2 ato, and to try to control the amount of flow between the center and the 2 sides would not be the same

ok thanks! but how about changing my flex tubing to pvs while there is water in the display tank is that hard?
I just dont like the look of the rubber tubing... i really want a nice uncluttered clean look.. how would you suggest with a dual overflow to setup a 75 gallon sump/refugium with a protein skimmer

you can drain the overflows without disturbing the dt. are you sure a 75 would fit under the stand did you measure it out? if so you can have a fuge on 1 side return in the middle and skimmer on the other side, or you can go skimmer, fuge return.

A 75 gallon will most likely not fit lengthwise in the stand. Even if it does fit it will have to be put in through the back of the stand. Also the 21 inch height would make it difficult, if not impossible, to perform maintenance on the sump and it's components. Imagine trying to squeeze a skimmer through the space between the cabinet doors and top of the sump.

I would get a 50 breeder if you can find one, 36x18x18. You could use the extra space in the stand for your ATO reservoir.
