The MR's frags for good grades incentive program

This idea came up in a "reef graffiti" chat.

A few of us thought it would be a nice gesture to offer a bonus to our MR members in high school, who make the effort to get good grades. There can be across the board incentives, and others for single class grades. As a numerically challenged ex-student, I know I would have appreciated the later

So let us know what you think, and who would be able to donate to the frag scholarship.

yes, there is only one that I know of, we might have more that have not said anything about their age.
but they would not be competing against each other so Kris won't have to worry.

what do others think of the idea?
I thought high school originally because college can have much older people with jobs etc.
this is just me but I think if your in college you should not need frags to motivate you to do well the tuition should do that.

Spykes,I'm probably the only HS student on the board. There might be more though that we just dont know about. I like the idea of frag donations.

Crakeur, very funny. When I can i'll donate to you cause. I'll be there one day.

House, I took AP Biology. We did about a semester worth of work on marine stuff(anemones,jellys, and stuff like that) Does that count?

I plan on going into business specifically entrepreneurship. Who knows the business might turn out to be a pet shop(That's where I think I'm heading).

If I do indeed open in a pet shop I'll never forget this. Even if I don't when I get a job and can afford better corals, I'll still remember you guys.

We should have another frag donation category!!

Something like the most inovative reef setup!!! etc.

There was a ghetto tank thread on RC, now some of those people deserve major frag prizes for just not burning down the house their tank lives in!! or killing themselves!!!

On my report I'm expecting 4 or 5. Last report card I missed straight A's by one class I got a 85 in. Argghhh...it's my absences that killed me in that class...he really takes them seriously although it was only 3 times. I'll let you guys know.

What about my first marking period report card does that one count?

if y'all are going to toss frags to the kid for a's, and he already gets a's, you might want to make it more interesting.

for example, straight a's, he gets frags.

if he gets all a's and a b, he has to run errands for me for 2 saturdays after the wife gives birth next month.

anything less and he's running errands, cleaning my tank and doing push-ups.

wait, this isn't my fraternity.

I still like the idea.
