Hey Everybody,
It's been sometime since I posted. My tank has gone a bit downhill in the interim. After the crash, where I lost all my lps and some of my fish, I was kind of distraught. Then I got an algae outbreak and I realized it's cause my bulbs were old.
So now I want to do a small upgrade. From my 24 to a 28. I already had the tank, so I will now give the 24 to my reeves turtle, and move the sw to the larger one.
So I want to do a light upgrade as well! Leds
I don't know much but i do know I would like to run a light cycle
and that I would like to be able to change the LEDS individually if they burn out.
The dimensions of the tank are as follows:
18" X 22" X 22"
28 gallons
Probably lps and softies. Would def like it if it could handle more but the 28 is what i'm working with now
I'm probably going to go the diy route, unless there's a good deal on a ready made fixture. I don't want to mod the hood, I'll prob want to hang it or stand on the tank.
So what I'm looking for is help and suggestions!
Please be as complete and as thorough as u can. how many leds, watts they should be, drivers, and sources if u know of any.
