kgoldy's swap offerings and wishlist

Looking for Strombus Maculatus snails.

Haven't seen these guys at the LFS... From what I read online, they breed like crazy. I'd like to get 5 or 6 from anyone who has them available. Thanks!

Editing original post to include more-

Looking to get rid of:
1) RKL system, not parting out. Includes head unit, PC4, System Interface Device (SID V2) and iTemp probe. Even have original instructions and box it came in. Need to lose this thing so I'm less tempted to set up another system. Asking $95 or for trade

2) 2.5 to 3" Florida Fighting Conch from Reef Cleaners. Too big for my tank- not that he's starving, he just knocks over the frags in my sand. $8, but prefer trade for a few Strombus Maculatus snails. He's bigger than he looks in the pic.

3) Pair of breeding ORA YWG (if knugenx doesn't take them). Going to try to catch them today. Original post about them $50 or trade for smaller watchman gobies (yasha sized).

4) Ultralife Fish Trap - 4 inch x 9 inch. Convinced to buy it by someone at Aquarium Adventure when I was just starting my first tank... Never got used as I had a biocube the thing barely fit in. Asking $30

5) Piorites rock with 35+ colored Christmas Tree worms. I love this thing, however the only space I have for it has too much light during the day, so the worms only come out at night for me. Recommend placing it in an area with medium flow and medium to low light. Piorites may fade back to brown (as most do that you see in the LFS) but at least you'll get to see the colorful worms. $60

(can't seem to find my folder with all the night pics...)

Looking for:

1) Strombus Maculatus snails (obviously by now... haha)
2) Teeny tiny tuxedo urchin. Prefer "halloween" colored, but also interested in red or blue. 1 inch across max.
3) Will consider frags of just about any SPS or LPS for trades for anything I'm looking to get rid of. Must see a pic of any offers, please.

I only have 3 right now. They do lay tons of eggs but very few grow up. I bought 5 a couple years ago and the 3 I have now are their children. They were sent from the buffalo area by someone who used to raise and sell them. I don't remember where he advertised. How successfull you are with critters really depends on how they fit with your setup. And even that changes over time. I used to have hundreds of micro brittle stars and now not a one.

Take a look on IPSF.com

I believe they have the ones you speak of.
I ordered 6 about 6 months ago, prolly have around 40 now.

Unfortunately I'm located upstate in Albany or I'd give you a few

What else did you get from IPSF? They're exactly the ones I'm talking about... I keep hesitating on ordering from IPSF because I haven't heard any reviews from anyone I know, and they seem pretty expensive...

I was hesitant to order from them at first, as their prices are a bit on the high side. However I finally decided last summer, that I was going to order one of their Pick 9 Specials, for my birthday present to myself haha.

There was a slight mishap with shipping (Fedex was to blame), I ended up having to drive a half hour to the closest Fedex distributor to pick up my package or it was going to sit at the facility over the weekend and not delivered until Monday.

I had sent an email to IPSF just briefly stating what was going on, and that in order for the package to survive I would have to drive to Fedex to pick up.

Gerald from IPSF immediately responded, apologizing for the inconvenience, even though it was completely a mistake/fault of Fedex. To make it even better Gerald sent me complimentary Mix N Match special.

I have since placed 2 other orders with them. You absolutely cannot beat their customer service and products.

Everything is captive bred at their facility in hawaii.

Some of my favorites from them:

Live Sand Activator
Strombus Grazers
Reef Mud
Liquid N Reducer
Amphipods
Coral Heaven

Hope this helps out a bit
I am in no way involved with this company, just a very happy customer of theirs
