Chipped glass silicone good leak?

Hey i was just cleaning out an old 10 gal tank i wanna use for ro/di storage for auto top off.

I accidentaly chipped the tank on one of the corners. The glass has a small chip on the outside but the silicone on the inside suffered no damage at al. Its 100%.

Should i be concerned about a leak?

Going to be hit or miss, going to have to fill it up and keep an eye on it.

spend 10 bucks throw the broken one out. one less headache in this hobby thats full of em lol

I wouldn't trust it, any other impact in that area will break it, like Tony said spend the extra 10 bucks and sleep better at night.

Its only a 10 gallon. They are cheap. But if its on the out side and has not affected the caulk your fine. I work for a glass company and there are "clam shells" all the time. No problem.

I got a little clamshell when moving my tank and siliconed a small glass tile to the inside just to be safe but yeah if it's a regular 10 gallon I'd just get a new tank.

I set it up and check it daily. Im assuming itll leak sloowly.... start with a drip. Ill catch it at the drip stage. Thanks
