In my nano i have these stringy things coming out of the sand. They are all over the place. They look like threads but move. I stirred up one and it looked like a knot of thread. I know PICS are needed. But this might be a common thing that someone might just know what it is.

I will try to get a pic and post it. If it is a good thing (which I hope), i may move a few to my 75, and even put in the fuge..

Sounds like bristleworms! If they are white and like an inch or so long they are bristleworms , if you have a melanarus wrasse , or a wrasse that's known for eating them cause opinions vary then u can control it a bit and they won't populate as much.

But if you wanna be a hundred percent sure ........ Let one wrap itself around your pinky finger, then u will know!!

I was just reading that some people complain that they kill zoa colonies... I have noticed that once in a while they are in my one larger colony and the polyps wont open. I may try to get some of them out. easy enough to just pull them out of the sand...
