I have a reef keeper light from digital aquatics with ph probe. Im questioning my readings on my ph probe after a year of using. Did some research and i read that probes should be replaced atleast yearly....... WELL THAT SUCKS! Thought the whole point was to never have to buy another ph test kit again.... or probe for that matter.

So whats the deal? Is this true. Is everyone else replacing their probe every 6-12 months?

How bout my temp probe? Does that need changing also. Cause if thats the case i can go back to a $2 thermometer in my sump and keep forever. :tank:

See what i mean. According to my ph probe my ph went down from 8.33 to 7.79 from 8pm to 10pm tonight.

Mean while my lights are all on and been on since 4pm and will continue on till 1am.

That cant be happening. It hasnt happend in 2 years of having the tank and i havnt seen a swing like that in 1 year of owning this reef keeper.
