So I did it!!
I ordered the rapid led 24 led kit.

I have a 60 gal cube.
6" x 16" heat sink.

I have 12 royal blues XpE
And
12 Cool white xpg R5

And the moonlight kit. 4 blue led's

I was thinning about adding 2 more to each string.
Which ones?

I was thinking about violet LEDs.
Uv LEDs, regular blue to mix in with the royal blues.

Anyone have any advice?
Should I leave 12?
Or put 2 reg blues into the mix?
And maybe add a purple in the mix with the whites?

Don't really know.

Just saw an exotic led kit.
Exotic colors.
Has a few red, turquoise and violet.

But also reason up on the kit. A few people recommend not to just run royal blue and cool white.
They say to add in a warm white, neutral white. And regular blues.

Looking like I may run an additional driver. With a string of odd colored ones.
Not sure yet.

Thanx

Cool Joe, lmk if you'll need help with it. You can drive 13 leds with each meanwell, so you can add two more leds to the string. I already experimented and added some different colors to mine, I would suggest two green leds, one red and two blue to replace royal blue. I have neutral whites on mine too, but I don't know if they make any difference. Additional string sounds like a plan since you have only 24 leds.

Ok. So I've decided I'm Adding another string.
Getting another meanwell driver. Lpc 35 700
Adding 1 red led
1warm white 1 neutral white.
2 XpE blue
Also been reading up on experimental colors.
Going to add a few True violet in the royal blue mix.
1 green
1 Deep red.
And 1 turquoise.

Figuring out how I want to configure them now.

What do you think?
Probably going to have a few extras too.

Well I would go with the eln 60-48 p drivers And pick up the dimmer from rapidled.
This way you can dim down you whites to get your:
10k
12k
14k
18k
20k
Possibilities are with a touch of a button. As far extra colors.... You can do that but IMO I wouldn't bother. I have ran xre whites and royal blues and I have great colors and growth.
I have built a fixture for someone and the reds really don't do much as far as making colors really pop but it does help with growth. Good luck on your build.

eln 60-48 p driver is dimmable only with quite complicated circuit, I would get 60-48 d, this one can be dimmed with simple potentiometer. And yes Joe, 1:1 ratio will give you something between 10000K-14000K, which is a sweet point IMO

Getting a D driver because i dont need a dimmer pot.
already own the reefkeeper and the ALC module.

Thikning doing a mix of royal blues on the blue string.
and few whites on the white string.
and doing a third, manually dimming, with the odd colors, and drilling and tapping those so i can change to taste. if i hate em.
going to be about 36 LEds.

I read and run 14 leds per meanwell driver. Also, i think one or two reds without optics will help cool whites, so much so that getting warm whites wont be ness anymore.

Also i mix royal blue with blue so that for ever blue i have 2 royal blue. Works great. Dont put too much red.

Well what i wanted to do is mix 1 warm white in, 1 neutral white. with the cool white string. 13 whites total.

for blue, i want to do 2 violet,2 blue and the rest royal blue. 13 led total.

the rest will be a mish mosh on a separate manual dimmer.
1 red, 1 green, maybe 1 purple, 1 green, 1 turquoise, 1 deep red, not sure yet,
but these will be drilled and run on a manual dimmer so i can change if i hate it.
